Northwave X-Celsius Arctic GORE-TEX MTB Shoes Black

The Northwave X-Celsius Arctic GORE-TEX shoes are designed for MTB riding, but also function as footwear for E-Bike use and urban travel. They are manufactured with the GORE-TEX Koala membrane, ensuring excellent breathability with full water and wind resistance. The Explorer sole developed with Michelin provides excellent power transmission and ensures excellent grip on all terrains. The upper has an overlapping construction with the most innovative materials, which wraps the foot evenly without any pressure points. The tip is reinforced with TPU, while the SLW2 plate ensures a millimeter adjustment of the shoe in a fast and intuitive way. The new Easyfit Climaflex collar combines the elasticity of Lycra with the thermal insulation of neoprene, guaranteeing mobility and protection. The wrapping and positioning of the heel is guaranteed by a solid thermoformed counter, in addition to the Arctic 4Layer Eva+Aluminium+Eva+Polar insole.

Technology:
- Explorer sole developed with Michelin: Northwave have developed this sole with Michelin Technical Soles to combine the XC performance with the traction needed to walk safely on any terrain. The calibrated stiffness midsole unleashes all the pure power onto the pedal area, while the more flexible medial zone makes the shoes feel good when walking. The tread, inspired by all-terrain Michelin tyres, and the exterior cover are made with 100% Michelin rubber, which is 28% more abrasion-resistant than TPU and offers great grip in all weathers.

- GORE-TEX: Garments made from GORE-TEX fabric provide maximum comfort and protection in a wide range of activities and weather conditions. The GORE-TEX membrane is water and wind resistant ensuring that no water gets in while allowing your feet to breathe. How is this achieved? Its pores are 20,000 times smaller than raindrops, but 700 times larger than water vapour molecules. In this way, water cannot get in but perspiration can get out and the skin can breathe. Each membrane is tried and tested in the harshest weather conditions.

- SLW2: The micrometric SLW2 system (Speed Lace Winch), with a step-by-step closure, allows you to tighten or loosen the adjustment of the shoe in a few moments in an intuitive way and with very high precision. The side button has a double function: when pressed, it causes a micrometric loosening; when lifted, it allows the complete and immediate opening of the boot.
