For the most demanding ski trips, a rope can be connected quickly and easily to the ascent-oriented avalanche airbag. The mats and sleeping bags can be quickly attached to the outside with additional loops. On steep terrain, skis can be securely and diagonally attached to the backpack with the D-Skifix. Of course, there is also an ice axe and an attachment for a walking stick, and a fixed net for the helmet. The aluminium clasp, leg strap and chest strap with signal whistle and emergency card are standard.
In addition to safety and packaging space, comfort also plays an important role. The soft, foamy 3D backrest system and reinforced straps ensure stability and comfort. Lightweight, abrasion-resistant materials make this backpack tough enough for rough terrain and numerous runs.
The Ascent AVABAG backpack is compatible with the Ortovox AVABAG anti-avalanche airbag (not included). This AVABAG airbag system is lightweight, weighing just 690 grams, and sensationally compact. Another special feature is activation training, as you can practice activation over and over again without the cartridge connected, so that you can be well prepared for an emergency situation. It also features a handle design optimized for activation, which can be grasped with any type of glove, and is suitable for both left-handed and right-handed users. The AVABAG airbag is detachable and compatible with all Ortovox AVABAG backpacks and does not contain any electronic components.
