With integrated voice navigation, it combines intuitive operation with cutting-edge technology and a smart, practical design. It is simplified with a single button and ensures intuitive user guidance in stressful situations thanks to clear instructions, symbols and a 360-degree real-time display. Equipped with patented smart antenna technology, it significantly increases the chances of avalanche burial victims being found. The device analyses your location in the avalanche and automatically switches to the best transmitting antenna. Both state-of-the-art digital three-antenna technology and automatic secondary avalanche switching are standard with Ortovox. In addition to the SEND and SEARCH modes, there is also a standby mode to suppress the signal while searching.
Alu 240 Light
Weighing only 235 grams, the Alu 240 Light is incredibly lightweight and ready to use in just seconds thanks to the quick-mount strap and quick-lock mounting system. The tension can be adjusted quickly and easily using the optimised adjustment screw. The large probe tip, which has a significantly larger diameter compared to the probe elements, ensures better penetration. We have also optimised the probe segments so that they now have a more compact package size. Therefore, the Alu 240 Light fits easily into your backpack. As with all our probes, the Alu 240 Light features easy-to-read depth markers, a clear 1-meter marker and a neon orange bottom segment to optimally match your digging strategy.
PALA PRO LIGHT
Extremely lightweight aluminium blade made of innovative materials, modern manufacturing processes and intelligent notches in the blade. Hybrid handle provides maximum force transmission. The substantial volume of the 2.5 litre blade is supported by its robust design, a pronounced centre rim and high side walls for overall rigidity. Non-slip grooves on the top edge of the blade provide a proper grip when applying foot pressure. A centering aid on the shaft sleeve facilitates quick assembly.

Technology:

Technology developed at the end of the 70s and improved over the years. It is an avalanche rescue system that allows victims to be located through a radar. It consists of two parts: the radar detectors that rescue teams carry and the passive reflectors that don't send out signals and which are incorporated in some jackets, trousers, helmets and even boots. The reflector consists of a small electronic piece that weighs less than four grams with a thin copper antenna and a diode that echoes the signals sent out by detectors. It is covered by a protective rubber outer coating which gives it its well-known long capsule like shape. It is practically indestructible. The reflector does not send out signals, meaning it does not require energy source.

The main objective of this technology is to facilitate communications between mobile devices, eliminate cables and connectors between them, offer the possibility of creating small wireless networks and facilitate data synchronization between personal computers.
