DIRACT VOICE

The Diract Voice with integrated voice navigation combines intuitive operation with state-of-the-art technology and a smart, practical design. It is optimised with a single button and ensures intuitive user guidance in stressful situations thanks to clear instructions, symbols and a 360-degree real-time display. Equipped with patented smart antenna technology, DIRACT VOICE significantly increases the chances of finding avalanche burial victims. The device analyses your location in the avalanche and automatically switches to the best transmitting antenna. Both state-of-the-art digital three-antenna technology and automatic secondary avalanche switching are standard with ORTOVOX. In addition to the SEND and SEARCH modes, there is also a standby mode to suppress the signal while searching.

ALU 240

A novice's probe with quick-lock mounting system: the ALU 240 is reduced to the essentials. The quick-lock mounting system allows for fast and easy installation. It is therefore ready to use in just a few seconds and can be folded and unfolded just as quickly. The tension can be adjusted by simply turning the optimised adjustment screw. The large probe tip, which has a significantly larger diameter compared to the probe elements, ensures better penetration. The low weight is achieved by using aluminium with a diameter of 11 mm. As with all our probes, the ALU 240 features easy-to-read depth markers, a clear 1-metre marker and a neon orange bottom segment for optimal adaptation of the paddling strategy.

The BEAST CLASSIC is a lightweight, compact and efficient aluminium blade. With a working length of 83 centimetres and a shovel volume of 2.5 litres, BEAST is the ideal size for efficient work after an avalanche.

Technology:

• RECCO

Technology developed at the end of the 70s and improved over the years. It is a rescue system in the event of an avalanche that allows victims to be located by radar. It consists of two parts: the radar detectors that rescue teams carry and the passive reflectors that don’t send out signals and which are incorporated in some jackets, trousers, helmets and even boots. The reflector consists of a small electronic piece that weighs less than four grams with a thin copper antenna and a diode that echoes the signals sent out by detectors. It is covered by a protective rubber outer coating which gives it its well-known long capsule like shape. It is virtually indestructible. The reflector does not send out signals, meaning it does not require energy source.
