The Patagonia Black Hole Mini MLC backpack is designed to meet the strict carry-on requirements of international travel. Made from the reliable Black Hole fabric, the Mini MLC is without doubt the toughest and most waterproof travel bag you'll ever carry. With a soft side and clean design, this versatile backpack holds three days worth of clothes, opens like a book for easy packing and meets airline carry-on size requirements so you can get in and out as quickly as possible. An internal padded pocket holds most 15' laptops and also functions as a clothing organizer (this pocket opens with a zipper and lies flat so you don't have to take your laptop out to meet TSA requirements). The main compartment has two separate pockets for easy packing, access and organisation. A second zippered pocket keeps the shoes separate from the clothes. Two exterior pockets organize essentials and include items for keys, electronics, travel documents, wallet and phone. The multiple carrying options include a shoulder pad that can be worn on one shoulder or on the chest, shoulder bag style; ergonomic zippered shoulder pads that turn the MLC into a backpack for easy running in crowds; and top and side handles for carrying in case mode. An integrated coupling sleeve slides over the telescopic luggage wheel handles.

The fabric is treated with a durable water repellent finish repels light rain and snow while reducing drying time. When used in conjunction with a waterproof and breathable outer layer, DWR helps prevent that layer from becoming saturated. Patagonia researches and develops new DWR techniques to achieve durability and performance and reduce environmental impact.
