The Patagonia Wind Shield Trousers offers light protection during aerobic activities in cold climates, and allows excess heat and moisture to escape through the strategically located breathable panels. The fabric is heated completely, with the front and the lower part of the legs using 100% recycled polyester laminated in an elastic and breathable windproof film. The upper half of the back (from the knees to the waist) is hybridized with an 85% polyester and 15% elastane, non-laminated, elastic and absorbent jersey fabric.
Details include an elastic waistband (with a tight-fitting drawstring), zippered pockets and zippered cuff openings with a snap closure to put on shoes or Nordic boots. With reflective elements on the left front hip and behind both knees, durable HeiQ Fresh odor control and DWR (durable water repellent) finish. The Patagonia Wind Shield long trousers have the Fair Trade Certificate, which promises to help garment workers approach a living wage. For each piece of certified fair trade clothing, they pay a premium that workers can use to improve their communities and raise their living standards. The workers decide how to use the money.
