The POC Obex BC MIPS helmet is the ski helmet that can speak for you when you cannot. The Obex BC MIPS is designed to improve traceability and durability in the field. With the integrated MIPS system, the helmet features an NFC medical ID chip so rescuers can access vital medical information at the scene of an injury, helping them make the best judgements for treatment in the vital 'golden hour' immediately after an accident. A RECCO reflector enhances the search capability. A thicker polycarbonate shell compared to the Obex MIPS provides increased durability. The helmet is compatible with the Obex Communication headset and is designed for a perfect fit with POC goggles. Fully adjustable ventilation and removable ear pads ensure user comfort.

MIPS leads in the market for slip plane technology in the helmet's interior which is designed to reduce any rotational impact from certain knocks. When the head rotates rapidly and comes to a sudden stop, the rotational acceleration can cause high levels of stress in the brain tissue. The tissue strain caused by these movements can result in various types of brain injuries. MIPS uses a slip plane technology that moves inside the helmet, mimicking the same protection system that the brain uses. This layer is designed to rotate inside the helmet with the aim of potentially slowing or reducing the amount of energy transferred to or from the head. Science shows that if we can reduce the stress associated with rotational acceleration, we can reduce the risk and severity of brain damage.

RECCO is a rescue system that allows you to be located in case of avalanche or loss in mountain expeditions at high altitudes. It uses a system based on reflectors that make it possible for you to be located by a team of professionals thanks to a radar. The reflector consists of a small electronic piece that weighs less than four grams with a thin copper antenna and a diode that echoes and doubles the signals sent out by detectors. It is covered by an external protective rubber layer that gives it its recognisable capsule shape. It is practically indestructible. The reflector does not send out signals, meaning it does not require energy source.
