The Powerslide story began in 1994, when the inline skate boom was in full swing. The whole "new wave of inline skating" crossed the Atlantic Ocean and led to the founding of Powerslide. Salesman and speed skater Matthias Knoll, together with his partner Stefan Göhl, laid the foundations and created an impressive company history. In the beginning, the product range of Powerslide consisted mostly of products that were already established in the booming inline skate paradise in the USA. It didn't stop there, however, and they soon supplemented their collection with some well-known in-house brands, before finally moving on to create their own product line. In 1997, the dream of creating their own brands became a reality.
