They are designed to hide the brake and gear control ducts (mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic) to improve aerodynamics, without sacrificing ease of use or performance.
The integrated stem of the Caledonia-5 and the two bearing cap options allow for stack heights ranging from an aggressive 7mm to a relaxed 22mm without the need for spacers. With a wider range of adjustment coordinates (stack) from 580mm to 687mm, the Caledonia can be slammed or more upright. All while looking and being perfectly fast in the wind.
Its bolted derailleur hanger is made of high-strength aluminium alloy and is attached to the frame with two countersunk screws. This allows for easy replacement in case of damage, but also allows it to adapt to new standards as they become available or to remove the front derailleur assembly completely if you choose a 1x system.
