Rossignol was founded in 1907 by Abel Rossignol, who produced wooden products for the textile industry. Rossignol was a big fan of skiing and used his skills as a carpenter to produce a pair of skis made out of solid wood. The turning point came in 1937, when Émile Allais was crowned triple world champion using Rossignol skis. From that moment on, the brand began to grow exponentially in the ski sector.
Over the years, Rossignol has diversified its product range and today we can find alpine and Nordic ski equipment as well as snowboarding gear and outdoor clothing.
