The Salewa Antelao PTX 3L Trousers are designed to offer protection and freedom of movement against bad weather in alpine conditions, both for cross-country or alpine skiing and for hiking and ice climbing in winter. Its three-layer Powertex Extreme, waterproof and wind-resistant outer fabric features sealed seams and a durable waterproof finish (DWR). Powertex is its own laminate for protection against bad weather, developed in particular for mountain sports. At the center of this technology is an extremely thin polyurethane (PU) membrane that guarantees permanent impermeability with microscopic pores smaller than a drop of water. However, the pores of the membrane are much larger than the water vapor molecules that are released when you sweat, so they can get out of clothes when they evaporate.

This is what guarantees that the membrane is waterproof as well as breathable. To offer greater protection against the edges of skis and crampons, we have reinforced the bottom and the internal part of the leg with CORDURA, resistant to abrasions. It features a removable, high-elastic, wind-resistant waistband that can be easily adjusted with braces. To ensure mobility, we have designed Antelao Powertex 3L with an ergonomic waistband and preformed knees. If you need to lower the temperature during the ascent, we have added ventilation zippers on the thighs.

- Durastretch
Durastretch fabrics are made of nylon (polyamide) with a high elastic content. They are light and comfortable despite their high abrasion resistance. Durastretch is available is a wide variety of versions of elastic fabric in 2 directions and elastic fabric in 4 directions. It is breathable and can be treated with a durable water repellent finish (DWR), to make it water repellent. Most Durastretch fabrics are suitable for all four seasons of the year because their interior structure eliminates sweat quickly. Durastretch fabrics are used in high quality mountaineering clothing.

- Powertex:
It is developed to provide the perfect combination of performance, weight, durability and comfort. It has a waterproof polyurethane based membrane. During aerobic activities, the breathable membrane transports steam outside, reducing internal condensation and maintaining a comfortable clothing temperature. POWERTEX fabrics are available in 2, 2.5 and 3 layer structures to cover a wide range of different levels of
performance.
