They are made of a special windproof Polarlite lining with a dense and strong knit structure that prevents cold air from entering. Treated with a durable waterproof finish (DWR) without PFC that holds in moisture and rain without losing breathability and comfort. Thus, the Dolomites allow water vapour to escape easily to keep the interior warm and dry. In addition, their bi-directional elasticity offers great freedom of movement, together with the reinforced legs and pre-formed ergonomic knees.

- Polarlite:
Polartec Power Stretch fabrics stretch in 4 directions and are highly breathable. They keep you dry during intense physical activity. How does this technology work? Sweat and a relatively high level of moisture near the skin cause discomfort. Polartec Power Stretch keeps the skin dry through three complementary mechanisms: the fabric is highly breathable and does not impede the movement of wet steam. A series of Touch Points on the inner surface of the fabric remove sweat. Sweat is drawn away from the skin to the outer surface of the fabric, where it spreads quickly and evaporates. When sweat reaches the outer surface of the fabric, it spreads to occupy several times its original surface, allowing the fabric to dry twice as fast as cotton.
- Durastretch:
Durastretch is a patented abrasion resistant fabric. It is used to make sturdy jackets and vests, trousers and shorts, reinforcing knees and side inserts, as well as in the manufacture of gloves for alpine climbing, trekking and hiking. Its weight is also very light and surprisingly comfortable. Durastretch materials are made from nylon (polyamide) with a high stretch content. They are lightweight and comfortable yet highly abrasion-resistant. Durastretch is available in a wide range of 2-way stretch and 4-way stretch versions. It is breathable and can be treated with a DWR finish to make it water-repellent. Most of the Durastretch fabrics we use in this collection are suitable for all four seasons because their inner structure eliminates sweat quickly. Durastretch fabrics make high-quality mountaineering apparel.
