The Women's Salewa Ortles AWP Jacket is a must-have medium weight jacket for alpine, backcountry skiing and ice climbing activities. Developed in collaboration with the best athletes and mountain guide organisations in the Alps, it is designed to provide professional-level insulation and functionality as a warm and protective layer in the middle and on the outside. The main body has a windproof and waterproof ripstop nylon exterior. On the shoulders and the bottom, we use 2L Powertex to provide greater waterproofing and strength. On the inside, the hybrid technology TirolWool Celliant insulation filler offers the perfect balance between insulation performance and breathability. We use a 100-gram filling. TirolWool Celliant combines the natural advantages of the high lanolin content of Tirol alpine sheep wool with cutting-edge Celliant thermoregulatory technology. The wool keeps you warm even in humid conditions, helps regulate body temperature and prevents the build-up of unpleasant odours.

Celliant is a patented blend of thermo-reactive minerals fused into a resin that is introduced into the core of recycled polyester fibres. It has the unique ability to recycle body heat, transform it into infrared light, store it and return it to the body. This process improves circulation and increases blood flow, maintains insulating performance for longer and accelerates recovery. In other words, the body retains heat longer. The Ortles 2 TirolWool Celliant jacket features Salewa Free Motion patterns and a slightly longer sport cut to prevent the base from riding up and to be comfortable under the harness during climbing. It can be worn alone as an outer layer or as an insulating intermediate layer underneath another outer layer. The warm hood with integrated tubes has a zipped reinforcement to reduce volume when not wearing a helmet. The high neck is integrated into the hood to protect the neck. The two-way zip on the front offers good access when you're fastening. Velcro cuffs on the sleeves prevent wind or snow from entering, and can be worn over winter gloves. Adjustable base with inner pocket prevents heat from escaping. In addition, the Ortles 2 TirolWool Celliant can be stored in its compression bag to save space in the backpack.
