This elastic fabric was developed to extend the durability and recovery of the shape of the tissues that act as the first layer. Many elastic fabrics lack the traction necessary to recover their original shape and always deform, but Polartec, using elastic fibers with greater capacity for recovery, has created this high performance elastic fabric that supports all types of stretching during physical activity.

This fabric patented by Salewa is resistant to abrasion and the house uses it to make the most resistant garments of its catalog. In addition, it has several versions to suit the needs of the user, either with DWR treatment or without or with elastic fabric in 2 or 4 directions. The Durastretch fabric stands out for its great perspiration, its light weight and the possibility of being able to use it throughout the year.
- bluesign
The bluesign certificate goes one step beyond being an ecolabel. Due to the global approach of this industrial standard, not only the safety of the final consumer has been taken into account, but also other aspects, including occupational health, emissions to water and air emissions. Apart from these important aspects, the principle of conservation of resources plays a major role within the bluesign certificate. The independent bluesign certificate guarantees that the entire production chain only contains components and only goes through harmless processes for people and for the environment. It uses what is called "Input Stream Management" (Flow Management of Tickets) that looks at production as a series of steps that need to be monitored and certified individually. All manufacturing processes and chemical substances used have to meet the bluesign standard so that the final product can carry the bluesign label.

This durable and durable fabric is patented by Salewa and is very easy to care for. Its most important feature is the ability to evaporate body moisture and extract it to keep the inside of the garment comfortable. In addition, this feature protects the user from excessive heat during the performance of physical activities and cooling during breaks. It is very useful as a base or intermediate layer, but in summer it is effective on its own.
