It is the ultimate in synthetic thermal insulation that offers an atypical combination of lightness, warmth and great breathability in a quilted synthetic down style fabric. Polartec Alpha thermal insulation is much more durable and stable than other synthetic products, with an outer layer of open construction fabric and another inner layer of selected fabrics to create a permanent air chamber. A small amount of airflow is sufficient to extract moisture from the body and allow Polartec Alpha to keep the body warm and comfortable in a wide range of activities compared to traditional thermal insulation that creates a natural barrier and retains moisture.
Ideal use: it has been designed mainly as a layer of thermal insulation of great efficiency for use in activities that combine times of pause and activity and in which space and weight in the backpack are very limited. When used as a single garment, it has exceptional breathability and very fast drying.
- Dry'ton
It is an easy to wash, durable and resistant material, and has the same texture as those natural fabrics to the touch. It is extremely functional, since it causes moisture to move rapidly along its fibers and to evaporate more quickly, and efficiently eliminates perspiration. This protects the body from overheating during physical activity and from the cold after it.
