On the inside, the soft, warm, 250 gram zippered lining of Polarlite offers more warmth and versatility when you need it most. It is made of hydrophobic polyester threads that repel humidity, dry quickly and trap air close to the body in thermal air bags that conserve heat and allow for optimum breathability with little weight.
Salewa pays special attention to the details of the hood, which has drawstring closures for quick one-handed adjustment. It also has two high pockets that do not interfere with the backpack and an additional, waterproof chest pocket ideal for carrying a mobile phone or GPS. It also includes other details such as Velcro cuffs and an ergonomic design that allows total freedom of movement and reach without raising the bass. The sealed details and the limited number of seams create a finished and impeccable style.

Powertex is developed to provide the perfect combination of performance, weight, durability and comfort. It has a waterproof polyurethane-based membrane. During aerobic activities, the breathable membrane transports the vapour to the outside, reducing internal condensation and maintaining a pleasant clothing temperature. The Powertex fabrics are available in 2, 2.5 and 3-layer structures to cover a wide range of different performance levels.
- Polarlite:
Polartec Power Stretch fabrics stretch in 4 directions and are highly breathable. They keep you dry during intense physical activity. How does this technology work? Sweat and a relatively high level of moisture near the skin cause discomfort. Polartec Power Stretch keeps the skin dry through three complementary mechanisms: the fabric is highly breathable and does not impede the movement of wet steam. A series of Touch Points on the inner surface of the fabric remove sweat. Sweat is drawn away from the skin to the outer surface of the fabric, where it spreads quickly and evaporates. When sweat reaches the outer surface of the fabric, it spreads to occupy several times its original surface, allowing the fabric to dry twice as fast as cotton.
