Durastretch fabrics are made of nylon (polyamide) with a high elastic content. They are light and comfortable despite their high resistance to abrasion. Durastretch is available in a wide variety of 2-way stretch fabric and 4-way stretch fabric versions. It is breathable and can be treated with a durable water repellent finish (DWR), to make it water repellent. Most Durastretch fabrics are suitable for the four seasons of the year because their interior structure eliminates sweat quickly. Durastretch fabrics are used in high quality mountaineering clothing.
