Salewa Wildfire Edge GORE-TEX boots offer precision and comfort, whether for climbing or mountaineering, in different weather conditions. The Wildfire Edge GORE-TEX is a unique technical solution for alpine enthusiasts, climbers and mountaineers looking for an approach footwear with improved climbing performance. It's based on the Salewa Switchfit system, a solution as intelligent as it is simple that allows you to quickly adapt the fit for walking or climbing, as it compresses the foot on the toe in a similar way to climbing shoes. All you have to do is tighten the laces to push the foot forward to the toe. When you've finished climbing, return the laces to their original position for more width at the toe and more comfortable walking.

For greater precision during climbing, the Wildfire Edge insole also incorporates an Edging Plate just below the side of the foot and thumb for additional directional firmness. The rest of the insole retains its flexibility for comfort and natural movement. On the inside, GORE-TEX Extended Comfort Lining offers long-lasting waterproofing and breathability. It contains elastic gaiters that provide greater protection against snow, gravel and dirt, and you can customise the interior volume thanks to the MFF+ insole. It is equipped with a Pomoca Speed MTN Pro sole made from a Pomoca butyl rubber compound for improved grip and friction on rock in both dry and wet conditions. The sole features a precision climbing area on the toe, good performance on edges and well distributed cleats for better traction on soft terrain, such as mud or grass.
