The Salomon X Ward Leather Mid GORE-TEX boot has been designed with the proven lower unit and chassis of one of Salomon's best-selling trail boots and a new upper with classic lines, premium materials and waterproof GORE-TEX. For maximum stability, comfort and durability as you roam the great outdoors. This mid-calf version offers you more ankle protection.

Advanced Chassis is a moulded insert integrated into the sole. It offers powerful lateral support and secure protection, as well as optimal mobility and flexibility.

GORE-TEX

Garments made with GORE-TEX fabric provide maximum comfort and protection in a wide range of activities and weather conditions. GORE-TEX membrane is water and wind resistant to guarantee maximum waterproofing while at the same time allowing the foot to breathe. How is this achieved? Its pores are 20,000 times smaller than raindrops, but 700 times larger than water vapour molecules. This way, water cannot get in, but the skin can breathe. Each membrane has been tried and tested in the harshest weather conditions.

Herringbone studs

The lug design features high penetration and multi-directional grip, which improves traction on soft surfaces such as mud and loose soil.

Mud Contagrip

Designed for maximum grip on slippery, soft, rough and uneven surfaces, Mud Contagrip uses deep, pointed lugs made from a compound that focuses on adhesion.

EnergyCell

High-performance EVA foam that cushions impacts.

SensiFit

SensiFit wraps around the foot from the midsole to the lace area, which provides a secure fit that is comfortable and adaptable all the way around.

Moulded OrthoLite inner lining

Moulded to conform to the contours of the foot, this OrthoLite footbed offers superior cushioning, breathability and durability to enhance the comfort and performance of your footwear.
