The Gecko features a hybrid construction: it has a durable plate in the rearfoot for structure and torsional stability, and extends into the forefoot for maximum flexibility and responsiveness. Dual density EVA midsole balances support with cushioning, suitable for moderate to long approaches with a backpack. The new Presa outsole has a medium density compressed EVA midsole with a solid and compact look. The outsole is made of SuperGum compound, capable of combining extraordinary grip and durability. The large climbing zones offer excellent sensitivity, grip and pinpoint accuracy.

OrthoLite sockliners offer excellent cushioning thanks to their triple layer compressed layer construction that improve the way your feet fit the shoes. They are highly breathable, being made of polyurethane and manage moisture perfectly. Plus, they are lightweight and can be machine washed.

Exclusive to Scarpa the SuperGum rubber compound was developed to provide equal or better slip resistance compared to other high friction rubbers, but with far superior abrasion resistance. It was formulated to offer high friction performance in both wet and dry conditions, but at the same time offers 3 times more abrasion resistance.
