Founded in Asolo, in the Montebelluna region. Scarpa’s initial mission was to bring together all the best shoemakers in the Asolo area to produce the best footwear. In 1956, Luigi Parisotto and three of his brothers, with the help of their family, put together enough money to make an offer for Scarpa. It was accepted and the business grew rapidly, expanding during these early years to produce 60 pairs a day. In the late 1950s, the quality of Scarpa began to spread more widely outside the Montebelluna region, attracting customers from many other parts of northern Italy. The company was one of the first to recognise the needs of mountaineering and climbing and the development of footwear with features dedicated to these activities. That pioneering spirit has continued in Scarpa. The company has many new features besides being the first to build a Gore-Tex boot and the first to develop a Telemark ski boot. Scarpa continue to seek innovative mountain footwear today to produce the best footwear for hiking and trekking, mountaineering, climbing and skiing.

Scarpa Vapor Climbing Shoes Blue Yellow
Size them .5-1 size smaller
Super flexible shoe with very soft upper. Mine are to big and DeplorableVillage decided to change their policy to reject exchanges the DAY I needed to exchange mine. This is a technical shoe for slabs and vertical climbing if sized correctly but does not have the stability I was interested in for overhanging boulders. Good luck!
