Sidi's Alba shoes are made of Politex. Built from several layers superimposed with different physical and mechanical properties. The compact PVC is then matched with two different fabrics (knitted fabric + felt) which are dyed for greater colour retention. Politex offers great resistance to tearing, laceration, stretching and deterioration. It has been manufactured in strict compliance with European regulations and is a totally ecological product.
Technology:
- Sidi's Techno-3 system fits throughout Sidi's Alba road shoe, adapting the upper to the shape of the foot for a custom fit. Sidi's famous replaceable and reliable closures have been improved by a new material called Sidi Wire. This material helps to make adjustments at the moment intuitive and effortless. Like most small Sidi parts, the Techno-3 Buckle is fully replaceable.
- The reinforced heel helps keep the foot in an optimal position and prevents the shoe from being deformed by excessive performance or prolonged pressure.
- The Millennium 4 Carbon Composite sole, used in the Sidi Alba, has carbon fibre injected into a nylon matrix, providing greater stiffness than a standard nylon sole shoe. This sole is more durable, completely water insulating and mechanically stable, meaning it is less susceptible to changes in stiffness due to weather and changes in temperature or humidity. An anti-slip toe insert and a replaceable polyurethane heel pad are incorporated into the shoe for increased walking performance. The Millennium 4 Carbon Composite sole uses a standard triple hole pattern for extensive compatibility with the best pedals available. It includes a painted side and cleat alignment as well as the Look Memory Eyelet for easy alignment and replacement.
