The Bluesign certificate is more than just an ecolabel. The independent Bluesign certificate guarantees that the entire chain of production only contains components and only uses processes that are respectful to people and to the environment.
- Microshell:
The Microshell technical fabric is technologically developed on the basis of ultra-fine synthetic microfibres, making it an ultra-light, highly breathable, windbreaker fabric. Contains a water repellent treatment free of PFC (Fluoro-carbonates). It is also resistant to feather and fibre fillings.
- Neokdun
Recycled feathers and down come from used bedding and garments that have reached the end of their useful life. Normally, down and feather fillings have a longer shelf life than the finished products themselves.
Therefore, the feather and down filling is removed from these products. Feather and down filler material is sorted and processed to meet cleaning standards and other performance requirements. The recycled down and feathers can then be used to refill other finished products. Recycled down and feathers called Neokdun must undergo an innovative process to obtain the highest level of cleanliness and best performance as new filler for finished products. In addition, this process is environmentally-friendly and doesn't use harmful chemicals. The regulation of NVP traceability is the basis for demonstrating the origin of Neokdun recycled down and feathers.
- Pertex Quantum
Pertex Quantum is a very lightweight fabric. It is a real featherweight with about 30g/m2. They use the thinnest possible thread with the highest number of strands. Being lighter doesn't mean being more fragile. Pertex Quantum bears witness to this with the best strength-to-weight ratio.
Tear strength in extreme use and seam strength are optimum for the weight. It can be used in fitted jackets. However, the abrasion resistance is not comparable to that of a fabric with a standard weight of
44 decitex. The dense fabric of the Pertex Quantum also makes it featherproof. It can be applied to many high-end products such as sleeping bags, feather bags and expedition material. It's the dream of the well-equipped fanatic.
