Tubolito Cyclocross

Christian Lembacher (materials engineer) and Akos Kertesz (mechanical engineer) are the founders of Tubolito and enthusiastic mountain bikers. In their previous job they developed speakers for mobile phones. While working with high-tech materials to create the micro speaker shell, which has to be robust and light, they had the idea to revolutionise the more than 100-year-old bike tubes which use "rubber technology."

Using a high-tech thermoplastic elastomer combined with a unique manufacturing process Tubolito are capable of producing light, resistant and reliable bike tubes for their customers.

As engineers, it is their ambition to offer high-tech and quality products. They constantly work to optimise their tubes and to develop new products. As the passionate tube engineers they are, they are convinced that this is only the beginning of a fascinating story.

The use of new technologies and high-tech materials will further revolutionise the cycling industry.

They have received awards such as:

i2B: 3rd place in the category "technology of business plan competition i2B 2016".

Winners of "Gamechanger Puls 4 startup pitch 2017".
