The tubular allows a better tracing power, especially noticeable in the curves, where both the grip and the absorption of vibrations and impacts are distributed evenly over the entire surface of the rim. In this way the cyclist can keep his line at the entrance of the curve and travel safely even if the asphalt is not perfect.
Another advantage of tubulars is that they can be inflated at a higher pressure, without being uncomfortable as can be the case with other ordinary tires.
