Völkl Rise Up 82 Skis Yellow

Völkl Rise Up 82 Skis are classified as specifically Randonneur mountain skis, recommended for skiers with an intermediate/advanced ski level. For the first time, Völkl has integrated a 3D Radius Sidecut into these skis that you only found on freeride and all mountain models. The construction combines three different radii that overlap lightly along the length of the ski. The performance of the curve of the ski is adjusted through the dominant radii of the camber for the angle of the sidewall. The ski is impressive for its smoothness at high speeds and for the pronounced resistance to turbulence, including in demanding conditions off-piste.

The multi-layered wood core allows us to produce a ski that is very lightweight but offers reliable performance on downhill runs. Thanks to the continuous sidewall, the ski is stable and resistant. Also, the Rise Up 82 is equipped with the new Smart Skin Clip system that's compatible with Tech Fibre or Smart Glue sealskins.

Technology:

• 3D Radius Sidecut

The use of long radii on the spatula and tail is designed for large high-speed turns: it's easy to manage, resistant to spatula alterations, without radii limits and designed to enter the turns with ease.

• Smart Skinclip

The newly designed Smart Skinclip system allows the backcountry skier to decide independently, depending on the situation, in which direction to attach or remove the sealskin. A standard clip attached to the tail of the ski allows you to attach and remove the sealskin from the back. However, the skin can also be put on and removed quickly from the front. This new flexibility is made possible by an elastic clip, which is easy to hold on to even when wearing gloves. A slight depression in the ski tip provides lateral guidance to the clip and prevents accidental release of the sealskin when walking.

• Tourlite Woodcore

A complex and lightweight striped core specially developed for ski touring. In the steel edge area, hand-selected poplar wood provides the necessary stability, while in the central part of the ski, soft and light Paulownia wood guarantees the ski's flexibility. The beech wood in the fastening area provides the necessary reinforcement to hold the fastening screws. In the centre of the core, a CNC milled Isocore zone contributes to optimum vibrancy and dynamic performance. Only the lightest batch of each wood consignment is destined for these cores.
