We love cycling - the Tour de France and La Vuelta above all and wholeheartedly- as well as running and also triathlon, swimming, the gym and outdoor sports.

To promote the health and wellbeing of society, offering a specialised online service selling sports equipment (especially for cycling, running and outdoor) with an exceptional shopping experience.
After becoming market leader in Spain in this sector and strengthening their presence in France, Italy and Portugal, Deporvillage has a new goal: to market their products globally.

Our origins speak for us

Founded in 2010 by Xavier Pladellorens (CEO) and Àngel Corcuera (CPO and Co-founder), we received the definitive push by winning the SeedRocket competition, bringing in backing from some of the most recognised business angels in the country, such as François Derbaix (Toprural), Luis Martin Cabiedes (Cabiedes & Partners), David Tomás (Cyberclick).

In 2015, thanks to the excellent future prospects of the company, important venture capital companies such as Samaipata (Spain) and P101 (Italy) as well as Grupo Mediaset were added to our list of shareholders. The total amount invested in the company is 7 million euros.

As friends and shareholders, Xavier Pladellorens and Àngel Corcuera continue developing Deporvillage successfully in Europe, having already established themselves in Italy, France and Portugal. In 2017, we reached 35 million euros, strengthening our leadership in Spain and increasing sales overseas. In 2018, we will open our doors to more than 200 countries worldwide, with the launch of our English and German websites.

In 2018, 45 million euros were turned over, achieving profitability and expanding worldwide. One year later, in 2019, the company reached 59 million euros, continuing to expand into new markets.

Where do we work “out”?

Our team, which is made up of more than 100 people, is divided between our head office in Manresa, our offices in Barcelona and our warehouse, from where we deliver a wide range of products within just 24 hours. Together we make up a great team of professionals with lots of experience and specialisation in each area.

With the aim to continue moving the business forward, we are organised in 11 departments: Business Development, Marketing & Design, Finance & Administration, HR, Sales, Supply, Customer Service, Content & Translation, It & Business Intelligence.

Our History



Deporvillage was founded in Barcelona at the hands of two entrepreneurs: Xavier Pladellorens and Àngel Corcuera.



Their project won the recognition of SeedRocket giving them the injection needed for their funding and growth.



Deporvillage started to build their solid team and their journey towards growth began.


New Markets

Deporvillage launched their online shops in Italy and France.



Deporvillage strengthened their position in the market and changed warehouse. The company landed in Portugal and added outdoor as a new product category on the website.


2nd Round of Funding

A second round of funding was closed, bringing in 4 million euros. Deporvillage started advertising on TV.



The company’s turnover increased to well above 20 million euros. The business went from being a startup to becoming a reference in the sector with excellent future prospects.



The company’s turnover increased, reaching 35 million euros. Deporvillage strengthened their leadership in Spain while continuing to improve their overseas sales.



Sales grow to 45 million euros, achieving profitability. Deporvillage launches its website in the UK and Germany.


Own Labels

Launches two own labels; Finisseur and DPV. Closes with 59 million euros and continues to expand globally.

Our Growth

Since we started, we haven't stopped growing. In 2016, we doubled our turnover, growing by 100%, in 2017 we reached 35 million euros and in 2018 we reached 45 million euros and began our expansion worldwide. In 2019, we have again achieved growth of over 30% with a turnover of 59 million euros.
