To choose the right tape for your rim you can do it by measuring the rim tape mounted on the rim as long as it completely covers the bottom of the rim. You must measure it on a flat surface, because if you do it on the rim itself, being concave, the data will not be correct. Another option is to measure the bottom width of the rim, adding one or two millimetres to compensate for the concavity. You can also do this by measuring the width of the rim from the outside and approximately 20 to 24 mm wide rims use 20 mm wide tapes, 25 to 28 mm wide rims use 23 mm wide tapes, 29 to 35 mm wide rims use 25 mm wide tapes and rims over 35 mm wide use 27 mm wide tapes.
